Mike was an old family friend of Jesse Custer.
Biography[]
Earlier life[]
Mike was close friends with John Custer, even being considered family. He served as the minister to John and Christina's wedding.[1]
Learning of God's disappearance[]
Mike was visited by Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy. He explained to them the girl he locked up had urges, and he locks people up in a covered cage to overcome their urges. He then asked why they came, and Jesse explained God had left Heaven. Mike was not left surprised but failed to have any leads on the almighty's whereabouts.[1]
Later that light, Mike confessed a parishioner reported to him that she had seen God, and gave Jesse her business card.[1]
The following day, Mike received a visit from the Saint of Killers. Mike revealed he heard about him but refused to reveal any information. When the Saint threatened him with his reputation, Mike killed himself so the Saint couldn't force Jesse's whereabouts out of him.[1]
