Les Enfants Du Sang (Children of Blood) was a cult of vampire wannabes, lead by Eccarius. Eccarius carefully selects members of his cult to one day become real vampires. However, shortly after their transformation, he feeds on the newly turned vampires to strengthen his own abilities. When Cassidy found out about this, he tried to warn the cult. However, Eccarius accused Cassidy of feeding on Hoover and the cult turned on Cassidy. Cassidy had though alluded to their caretaker that Eccarius had been feeding on his followers by asking her to call each one of them. The cult eventually discovered Eccarius' true intentions and were all turned by Cassidy and the caretaker. They lured Eccarius into the basement and fed on him. Shortly after this, the Grail turn the house off, exposing all the followers to the sunlight and combusting into flames.

History

Eccarius was a vampire who had lived for well over 300 years. Over the years, he became stronger through the hundreds of transformations and murders he had committed, and developed incredible powers. He dressed and spoke like a stereotypical gothic vampire, and lived as a cliché such as sleeping in a coffin. In order to develop his powers, Eccarius formed a cult of young vampire wannabes who he called Les Enfants du Sang. The members looked up to Eccarius as a charismatic and eccentric "lord". However, Eccarius despised other vampires and his motivations were far darker. He personally turned and killed 89 members. After the turning ritual, Eccarius told his followers that the new vampire would be sent off into the world to form better relationships between vampires and humans. However, in reality, Eccarius takes them to a garage and exposes the vampire to the sun, murdering them.

Trivia

• In the comics, Les Enfants Du Sang was a cult lead by the vampire Eccarius. Unlike the show, Eccarius never turned his followers into vampires and simply fed on them.
